The doctor will outline a natural hairline to be approved by the patient and will then disinfect the transplantation site. Some patients will be asked to shave a section of the donor area depending on their hair length.
Local anesthesia is injected in the scalp to control discomfort and pain during the surgery. This the patient remains calm and relaxed without any unpleasant sensations during the procedure.
Individual grafts will be collected from the donor site (the region that will donate the hairs to the bald area). These hairs do not have the genetic code for baldness so they have no tendency to fall.
COLLECTING HAIR FOLLICLES
A team member prepares the follicular units with a special solution that is needed for the conservation of the grafts.
PREPARING HAIR FOLLICLES
Micro incisions are created in the balding area and the hair follicles are inserted individually with a special instrument called implanter.
IMPLANTING HAIR FOLLICLES
After the grafts are all transplanted the patient is dismissed with instructions of post operation care.
